Just hitting 20K miles and so far mechanically its been rock solid, but it has been back in the shop with a couple of silly things.....the trunk would not unlock and the window fell off its rails into the door. Not too impressed with that.

Seeing as they are not allowed to sell diesels in NY state any longer I doubt I'll be buying another VW.

Those little problems are the same exact ones that drive VW owners crazy. Seriously, how difficult is it to make a window that doesn't fall off its rails or purchase a lock that works every time?

Aren't most (if not all) of the VWs built in MEXICO?! UM, wonder why lots of things break on them! My Dad has had the same problem with his GTI, but not his PASSAT.

BMW sales are down 20% as well.

Things should turn around when the new Passat, Golf, and Jetta are released. I really hope the new Jetta doesn't look like that though, horrible styling.

Yep, VW's pretty much suck. My brother has a Jetta diesel puts lots of miles on it but not without blowing hefty wads of cash on repairs every few months. Stupid as he is, he's still considering getting another one. I won't even consider one.
