Always will disagree, but its forgiven in my book. That said a neighbor of mine was a POW in the Hanoi Hilton, and he still curses her name.

I don't think I can forgive her for beating Ted Turner. Even if he cheated, that's no excuse for spousal abuse.
Once a spousal abuser, always a spousal abuser.

As far as Vietnam, I wasn't around, and I don't feel she wronged me, so I have nothing to forgive her for.

She's saying that he forced her to engage in sexual acts that caused her to have low self-esteem.

Nice loaded poll. It assumes she has done something wrong that requires forgiveness. How about option 4: I don't think in black and white.

Has anyone here ever read the Snopes article?

I like its final paragraph:
Whether the war was right or wrong, those who risked (and gave) their lives fighting it deserve respect, and for Fonda to brand men who were held captive and tortured as "liars" and "hypocrites" (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) in order to defend her political views was and is unpardonable.

Why not is a better question. Generally I forgive people unless there is a reason not to.

Curious to what inspired this question.

It's really up to the Vietnam POWs.. specifically the ones in captivity that were affected by her visit and ensuing aftermath.
She's saying that he forced her to engage in sexual acts that caused her to have low self-esteem.
Forced her.. ? It's not like she was some kidnapped teenager, I think she had means to control her destiny.

I can't forgive her for revealing the secrets about her sex life when the guys have no say over it being released.

If it takes you 30 years, or you never forgive her, aren't you living with a bit too much hate in your heart? Geez...

You like that? How far would you take that logic? At some point, if a war is wrong, you have to fight against it no matter who is on the other side.

If the war was unethical, then I see her as patriotic by standing up against it. She doesn't HAVE to "support the troops" simply because they are American. They are the ones fighting the war, so their actions would be unethical as well. However, with the draft going on there were some people were there that didn't want to be, that complicates things. I think she had the right idea, but shouldn't have supported killing on either side.

What she did was stupid and wrong which she herself acknowledges. I don't have the time, energy or the inclination to hate her over it. I think it best she be ignored.

That pretty well sums up my feelings.

Calling her a "Liberal Bitch" is retarded though. Seek help man.

As long as she doesn't come up with some new book or movie in the very near future, forgiven.

Considering what we now know about that war who caused more harm to our troops, Jand Fonda or Robert McNamara and Lyndon Johnson?
