Jane Fonda for President

It is my opinion that voting for John Kerry is the same as voting for Jane Fonda. Does anyone remember the war crimes and atrocities Jane Fonda committed during the Vietnam Conflict? To even have the inkling that John Kerry shares any views that Jane Fonda might have, that perhaps he knew of her actions, or met her during that era and agreed with her positions, how disgusting to even consider someone like that for President and Commander in Chief. My own mother wouldn't watch the news during portions of the Vietnam Conflict, while my father was away fighting, because of the vile actions of John Kerry, the media coverage he recieved at that time, and the way that this country was divided. Did you know that a war protester during that era took a gun and held it to the head of a Tomb Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier? These were John Kerry's friends and loyalists, he served as their voice. And now he serves as the voice for the Democratic Party of this country? What little loyalty I might have had for that party quickly dissipated upon learning of Kerry's nomination. He is an abomination, admitted to having knowledge of war crimes during the Vietnam conflict and doing nothing about them, and made an entire generation of the brave men and women who fought in the name of this country come home to the most abysmal welcome home in the history of this country. Now he wants to do it again, he voted for this war, and against just about every resource needed to fight it. If you are planning to vote for him, may I just ask, why?

I am a new member but I have a stream of consciousness I just need to get out, about Senator Kerry. I don't really have any news or objective information to post, just my own opinions. You'll notice that everything is jammed into a single paragraph. Maybe I want to hide the lack of content, but maybe my "Enter" key is broken. Whatever - back on track. I probably only joined AT to troll, and troll I shall. I've chosen a female avatar and a quasi-female handle in an effort to inject at least a hint of credibility into what I'm saying, although it makes about as much sense as buying a fish a bicycle. Did you know that trolls can have many faces, and personas? They are my friends and loyalists; I serve as their voice. Why can't you people understand? You'd have to be crazy not to agree with me; either that, or you're just not enlightened the way I am. If you are planning to ignore my senseless post, may I just ask, why?

Most people will say: "Because he's not Bush."

I must say, your stream of consciousness was quite ejaculatory.

this smells like "here's a sample letter to send to your hometown
newspaper," except for the misspellings.

no, can you remind us what were those?

Yes but I am a Vietnam Veteran

War is hell, especially if you are committing atrocities due to the orders of your superiors. Just ask a B 52 Pilot who dropped tons of ordinances on Civilians living in Hanoi. Coming back and reporting those atrocities took a lot of balls on Kerry's part.

You are right. She just advocated and encouraged it.

Or burn civilians to a crisp with Napalm!

It is my understanding that during the Vietnam Conflict Jane Fonda took a trip to Vietnam. She toured a POW camp where Americans were being held. During her visit, several American POWs slipped tiny pieces of paper into her hand as she shook their hands during her tour. The pieces of paper contained names and social security numbers for her to take back to the United States to notify the families and authorities that these men were indeed alive. As she was leaving the camp, she gave the slips of paper to the person in charge. According to accounts, several American Officers (the Vietnamese killed the enlisted because they considered them worthless) were killed as the direct result of her actions.

snopes is your friend: here

The most serious accusations in the piece quoted above -- that Fonda turned over slips of paper furtively given her by American POWS to the North Vietnamese and that several POWs were beaten to death as a result -- are proveably untrue. Those named in the inflammatory e-mail categorically deny the events they supposedly were part of.

"It's a figment of somebody's imagination," says Ret. Col. Larry Carrigan, one of the servicemen mentioned in the 'slips of paper' incident. Carrigan was shot down over North Vietnam in 1967 and did spend time in a POW camp. He has no idea why the story was attributed to him. "I never met Jane Fonda."

"Your understanding" had bigger holes in it than Geroge Bush's Nat. Guard service record. Let me put it another way. You were told a lie by a fellow dickhead and swallowed it whole. Then you come here and scribble big fat feces filled paragraphs.
