Yeah, I don't mean to come off all snooty or anything. For the price they're really good. They'll definitely kick the snot out of any powered PC speakers. Just don't expect miracles if you're using them in a large room.

Not sure. I have the speakers on sale along with the Jamo sub I posted a few weeks ago. Killer 2.1 system for $230 shipped total. I mean Killer.

I am not a fan of self powered main speakers. But my nose was turned years ago when the technology was just not there.

I am sure they can be excellent nowadays.

I would say if you can get them close to the same price and have a receiver already. Don't bother. Get the Jamo's. If you have a preamp or a receiver that can do that. The world is full of tough choices.

WWS is in Pennsylvania. Go and give them a listen or try to find both sets at a near by store. Speakers are always subjective to the ears of the wallet.

They look very nice! I've heard good things about the company tho, I've never heard these speakers. Even if a few people had them it wouldn't make much difference to me. I find that everyone's ears are different and you should addition the speakers in person or have a very good return policy.

If you are going to put a 7.1 together. Get all the same manufacturer main and surrounds. Preferably the same model line as well. They should all match tonally. The sub can be different brand all together and DON'T skimp on the sub. Jamo is a Fine choice. They are a very neutral, well designed, and good sounding speaker for the money.

Subwoofer and Screen size are very important in home theater. They impact the most.

Really the only speakers that "need" to match are the front right, left, and center channels. The surrounds, rears, and subs don't have to be the same.

Obviously if everything is matched that is the "best" way of doing it.

Thats what I thought.

Do a white noise sweep of all your speakers with "Matched levels".

The tonal ballance or lack of is very apparent when you have non "Near" matching surrounds/rears.

Sure they work but I eventually replaced my rears with the same brand and it made quite a difference.

Todays movies and surround have some much more information compared to the old Dolby Pro days that it is probably a good thing to do as far as getting more than just the front sound-stage "Matched".

Anyone know what the tweeter dome material is? I don't see it stated in any of the specs.
