TROTSC is one of my favorite albums, in fact on the way to work this morning I was jamming along to the songs. I think the first song is worth the price of the entire album, but fortunately nearly every song on the CD is really good.

If you like good music then this is definitely worth listening to. Its not exactly a soul album, but its very soulful. To be honest I really don't know what genre Space Cowboy would fall under. Some parts of the album sound jazz inspired, other songs sound rock inspired. But through it all the band always sounds really good and the vocalist is excellent.

Jamiroquai is a band from the UK, I think they've been around since 91 or 92. Space Cowboy is their 2nd album and since then they've release about 3 other CDs. I'm constantly looking for music similar to Space Cowboy though, its just a really feel good album.

So for the people who've heard the album, have you heard anything similar to it?

For the people who have'nt heard the album, check out some clips here, here or hear.

Not exactly the same, but you might like Particle, Sound Tribe Sector 9, The New Deal, Disco Biscuits, or Addison Groove Project. You can get plenty of shows from these bands at archive.org

Heavily influenced by Stevie Wonder.

Songs in the Key of Life specifically.

I used to like the song Virtual Insanity that came out back in the late 90s

Jamiroquai is a GREAT band, but I like Synkronized and Travelling Without Moving better, personally.

I've wanted to see them live for years now. They have a new album due in April of next year, hopefully when they go on tour they'll make a stop in Chicago

Maroon 5, maybe?
Jamiroquai drove me insane. If Rod Stewart wasn't my arch-nemesis, they'd be in the runnings.
