Looks like the darkest Bond yet, by *far*. Good. We need stuff like 'Get Smart' for goofy/campy spy movies, and Bond/Bourne for more serious/action/drama spy movies :)

Yeah, the trailer is pretty decent. They also have quite a few videos (22) about the film and people working on it ? pretty interesting, I thought.

Going back to Aston Martin as Bond's ride was one of the best decisions they made for the new Bond series. Those fruity BMW Z series in the Pierce Brosnan era were just lame.

this movie is going to be outstanding!

a quantum of solace is described as the smallest possible amount of emotion or empathy.

Agreed. It's a bit early too say but Daniel Craig may be the best Bond yet. Definitely better than Brosnan.

It's close, though. We'll see how Craig does with his next few films.

yeah, I think he's getting there. Sean basically created this movie image of Bond, that everyone compares the character to. However, Craig's Bond is far more accurate to Flemming's characterization of Bond.

If you watch Dr No again, and then watch the later Connery Bond films, you may notice a stark difference in how Connery portrays Bond. In Dr No, he comes through as a bit of a hardass, very pushy and direct. He doesn't really have that coy smirk that people recognize, or rather, it's not his main physical expression that comes to dominate Connery's Bond. In Dr No, you can see that Connery is trying to play the callous Bond. Scene to pay specific attention to is when he first arrive at Quarell's bar and begins slapping around the photographer and even Quarell. That whole sequence: airport-car trip-bar is a good example. Connery doesn't portray Bond this way in later films.
