James Bond is dead.

Casino Royale sucked...Just finished watching it.
The action scenes were good, but the stuff in between just felt like filler. I kept waiting for it to end and when I thought it was over, it kept going...

Daniel Craig was better than I thought he would be, but he's still no James Bond.

the poker scene was horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. They could've cut it down to about 10 minutes from the original 40 or however long it was...I liked th rest of the movie, but oh man that's one of hte worst scenes I've seen

Huh? Casino Royale was amazing. Right to the very end.

The only thing it needed was more high tech stuff.


The poker Scene was tense, funny, and downright entertaining.

The movie started meandering in the 2nd half. They could definitely have tightened that up. I wouldn't write off the franchise though, I thought Casino Royale was a big step in the right direction.

you have no idea what a bond movie entails...

You might like the movie for whtever it is...but its NOT a Bond movie. nothing bond-like in it besides the music.

Many people who hate the movie don't get that it's "Bond Begins," when Bond has just gotten his 00 license. Not "Bond episode 25."

He is new to the game, and not yet as case-hardened as in later years. Hence the real romance, and a focus on physical action rather than wacky gadgets and 70's nudge-nudge humor.

I finally saw Casino Royale couple weeks ago, and I too didn't like it at all. The whole movie, I didn't know who half the people were, or what they were doing! And come on, am I supposed to get excited over a texas hold-em tournament as the big Bond movie moment? Please.

i understood that going in and i couldn't care about that part. the story was just horrible, if there even was a story, which didn't seem like it.

i did say i liked the action scenes, but that was it.
