Jailbroken iPhone Keyboard problem

i have a jailbroken 1.1.4 iPhone and have recently installed a "skinned" keyboard (specifically the"Chromium Keyboard" from Source: BigBoss's Apps and Things, but i dont think the name is that impt.

i have since been having many problems with the phone in relation to the keyboard

all problems seem to be related to any app where the keyboard would be needed
-text messaging, emailing, typing in the adress bar in safari

another quirk is that i cannot uninstall the app from the Installer because its not listed..

whenever i do any of the above things, the phone would be brought back to the enter 4-digit password screen.

i can't live without texting, emailng, and safari on the phone, please help.

eeek, well worse comes to worse I suppose you could just do a restore and start over again.

i've been reading up on this on some random websites and i think it says something about installing it without enough space allocated for it and the isntall doesn't finish...

can someone teach me how to use SSH? i dont know anything about it but i THINK it allows me to go into the phone's directory so i can manually override the custom keyboard with downloaded files of the default keyboard

i fixed the problem, here was the situation and the fix:

situation:
downloaded a custom keyboard, my app system space was full and the install couldn't finish, leading it to be corrupted. i wasn't able to use ANYTHING on the phone that required the keyboard to pop up (texting, emailing, safari, notes) whenever the keybaord would (presumable) pop up, i would be defaulted back to entering the 4-digit passcode.

fix:
download BossTools and relocate some ringtones and fonts. then go back to the custom keyboard (in my case: Chromium Keyboard, by Allen) and install it again. i guess i was lucky and everything worked out fine and everything's good now. got the custom keyboard to work

yea, now i'm looking for a way to "back-up" all my apps in case i'd ever have to restore and re-jailbreak my phone again, is there a simple way to do this?

I haven't tried it myself, but I'm told TimeCapsule does what you're looking for, Louis.

timecapsule is a program within the phone itself that gets installed after jailbreaking, if i were to restore the phone, how will this program help me get all my post-jailbreak apps back after i update to FW 2.0?

I would assume you'd rejailbreak the firmware, install TimeCapsule again, and use that to restore your apps.
