1) I want to jailbreak my iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 2G using jailbreakme.com, but I already upgrade to iOS 4.0.2. Is there a way to get a legitimate (i.e. directly from Apple) iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.1 build? Also, the same for an iPod Touch 2G?

2) After jailbreaking, what are the steps I need to do to make my device secure?

3) I have a large amount of personal data come through my phone (work and personal), are there any major security concerns with jailbreaking? It seems like any jailbreaking service could technically plant some kind of malware that would be storing your personal data.

As far as your phone is concerned, the dev's have said they are not making a jailbreak for 4.0.2. You will likely have to wait for 4.1 to jailbreak that. You are able to get 4.0.1, but will not be able to downgrade since the firmwares are signed.

Since the PDF exploit is patched, you would only have to worry about changing your root password if you install OpenSSH. Whatever exploit is used for 4.1 may need to be protected against, but that is yet to be seen.

You don't have to take any additional measures with personal data than you have before. The jailbreaks are not malware, just be sure to get the straight from the source IE the iPhone DevTeam.

My iPhone shipped with 4.0.0 (or 4.0.1), I tried to restore using iTunes, but it is still at 4.0.2.

So, it seems like there is truly no way for me to jailbreak my iPhone.
