jailbreaking and ipod capacity

i have a ipod touch 2nd generation firmware version 2.2.1 and i used the quickfreedom program to jailbreak my ipod. everything worked fine but before jailbreaking the ipod had a 7GB capacity (its the 8gb version) now, after jailbreaking my ipod only has a capacity of 6.76GB. is this normal? if i restore the ipod to normal settings (without jailbreak) would it go back to 7GB? is it just that the jailbreaking uses up that amount of space?

Looks like it used up 250 MB of space... there's some stuff it puts on there for sure so it might be the source.

If you restore it back to normal, then you should get it back to 7 yes.
