empty seats :D

Ticket sales at the Rose Garden are down 15%. TV revenues are also down.

I'm in the 2nd year of my boycott against them, and I think it's nice to see that other people here are finally realizing what a disgrace this team has become to our city. It's more than just all the pot arrests, it's the attitudes of the players who refuse to acknowledge fans or sign autographs, who talk trash on national TV, and who refuse to provide any meaningful contribution to our community.

They really need to just trade that whole team away, and start fresh. Getting rid of Bonzi Wells was a start, but they have plenty more bad apples there.

"Raw 'Sheed"

In an exclusive interview with The Oregonian, Rasheed Wallace speaks out against fans and the league that is paying him $17 million dollars this year, and explains that all he cares about is whoever "cuts the check".

From the article:
Wallace thinks that the white establishment of the league is exploiting young black athletes to enrich itself, and he doesn't mince words in talking about it.

"I ain't no dumb-ass n*gger out here. I'm not like a whole bunch of these young boys out here who get caught up and captivated into the league," Wallace, 29, said. "No. I see behind the lines. I see behind the false screens. I know what this business is all about. I know the commissioner of this league makes more than three-quarters of the players in this league.

Where do I sign up to be exploited for $17 million a year? Hell, I'd love to be a racially expoited for $17 million, instead of working in my racially equal 9-5 job.

wow, wallace is a moron. i hate it when pro athletes complain about anything, period. they get paid millions of dollars to play a f*cking game. if they don't like it, they should just crawl into a hole and die.

They need to get rid of Rasheed Wallace, Rueben Patterson, and Damon Stoudamire.

I'm happy the JailBlazers are losing the battle in ticket sales and generating interest. Someone needs to come in, demolish the entire team, and start from scratch. I agree that getting rid of Bonzi Wells was a good move. They got a 2004 #1 draft pick out of that deal, which was good. Now who will take these thugs off of Portland's hands?

Funny thing is that it could have turned out very differently if the Blazers hadn't collapsed in the WCF in 2000.

A lot of teams will trade for talent. regardless of the headcases. They think they can change them. Jerry West took a chance on Wells. Also, I believe Wallace's contract is up at the end of this season, making him attrative for teams looking to cut salary too. Best thing is to probably just keep him and then either let him walk, or sign-and-trade him. Damn, I'm glad I'm not a Blazer's fan.

Funny thing is that it could have turned out very differently if the Blazers hadn't collapsed in the WCF in 2000.

That series/game changed the future for two teams. Made Portland go backwards, and started the Lakers' run. I'm glad the Lakers came out on top (devoted Laker fan for 27 years).

Werd. I was a Bulls fan then (I worshiped Jordan :p ) but at least I wasn't ashamed to have that team in my state. I'm not watching or going to a Blazer game until they nuke that team and start over.

HAHA that got me singin it in my head
Bust a bucket- bust bust a bucket
wow.
Ya I used to love Drexler, and, minus duckworth, they had a good team. I used to be a fan of Jerome Kersey in his younger days as well.
I still root for the blazers cause i grew up with them, but I dont follow them NEARLY as close as I used to, and dont care too much when they loose.

AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!! How could you possibly put that whiny little pr!ck Ainge in the same class as Drexler and Porter!?!?!?! The best thing Portland ever did was to get rid of him...

<-- USED to be a Blazers fan (I've never forgiven them for firing Rick Adelman)

They were my favorite Trail Blazers team only because they lost to the Pistons in the finals. :D
