Here ya go

<< Jaguar has announced major revisions to the entire S-Type range and the addition of 2 new models - an entry-level 2.5-litre version and a M5-rivalling supercharged S-Type R.
Although you may be most interested in the S-Type R, let's see the revisions common to the entire range first. Firstly, the previous 4.0 V8 has given longer stroke to bring displacement to 4.2 litres. This lift power and torque from 290hp / 290 lbft to 300hp / 308 lbft. Then, the ZF automatic transmission has gained another ratio, i.e., the same 6-speed unit as BMW 7-series, while the much criticized Ford manual transmission for V6 models has been replaced with a Getrag 5-speeder. In addition to the ZF power steering employed since the late-2000 revision, you can see Wolfgang Reitzle will face higher pressure from Ford's accounting department :)..

As both XJ sedan and XK coupe have supercharged R models, how can Jaguar not doing the same thing to the S-Type ? the S-Type R has more power than its bigger brothers, with 400hp and 397 lbft instead of 370 hp and 387 lbft, thanks to - again - the larger 4.2-litre V8. As before it has Eaton supercharger and twin intercoolers to achieve the M5-beating output (28 lbft more torque than the M5). It also employs the standard 6-speed automatic transmission, so acceleration should be quicker than XJR. Jaguar claims 0-60 in 5.3 seconds while top speed is still electronically limited to 155mph. It should stop well too, thanks to using Brembo brakes.

the front looks a little wacky, but the back is pretty nice.

Scrolling down the page, that Toyoya Allion dosn't look to bad from that pic. Although not too fast, 2.0-litre (152hp), it still looks pretty sweet. That thing coming to America?

ehhh. I am picky on my cars...

Older news: Impreza WRX STi Type RA Spec C

Why don't they just give it a special name or something? I mean, who really says I just bought a blue Impreza WRX STi Type RA Spec C?

Hmmmm maybe you would just to sound cool or something... I don't see the point though.

Oh and that Jag is sweet ass.

<< Why is everyone putting "Type" in the name of their cars and ending it with an "R"? >>

Jaguar has been doing it for years! The 1951 - 1953 C-Type was the first that they used "Type", IIRC. D-Type in 1954, E-Type in 1961..

Along the same lines, the XJ6 that was introduced in 1973 had an XJ-S variant in 1975 that continued until 1996.

And XJR-S that came out around 88. Their 88 LeMans winning car was called the XJR-9.

They just use R to indicate a higher engine output/different trim line.

The Toyota Allion looks like the new Altima. It has the similar front-end with the sweeping headlight treatment.
