Jaguar launches R5 - 2004 F1 challenger

F1 is amazing to me. Ford/Jaguar probably spent $80M on this new design, so they can end up with about 6 constructor's points at the end of the season. I sincerely wish them luck, but they have had a tumultuous ride over the last few years, and I doubt very much whether a new car will be their saving grace.

Well... they already said the R5 has a design flaw... go figure... but they said they'll have it fixed as the season goes on... lol... riiight.

Hmmm... looks nice... nicer than the Williams at least. 😛

Looks nice.
To bad looks doesn't mean $hit in F1.

True, true. I think Jaguar has had some of the handsomest cars in F1 over the last few years, with little to show for it. On the other hand, I think the BMW/Williams cars have been pretty fugly, but done very well indeed. Ferrari, of course, seems to have the total package of looks/performance.

Ooooo... shiny...

I think if their engine development makes some more strides, they may be able to eventually compete. They do have young driver talent and seems like a good amount of resources.

are pics of the new Ferrari F1 out yet?

I'm hoping for Renault to step up to the big boys.

They had the handling, they just needed the extra power. Same goes for McLaren.

Ferrari is next Monday... 😀

I think Renault isnt going to be as strong this year because Mike Gascoyne went to Toyota... he left Jordan in 1999... which made them challenge the big 3... and now Jordan sucks ass... 🙁
