I wonder if the snake was already tired. Seems as if it never really tried to wrap fully around the Jag and constrict.
 
woah for a second i thought the snake was going to pull the jag under water and drown him.

yup, not sure why it didn;t even put up a fight, especially once it is in the water. coiling the jaguar and dragging it into the water would have given it a good advantage.
