The jaggies show up @ 1024 x 768 Resolution which is where I usually set my desktop.

I never had this problem with my Ti 4600 Video card??

Any Ideas? I tried many diff drivers but get the same results.

No offense, but you spent that much money and you play at 1024x768?

Try cranking up the AA?

thats what i thought too.
there is nothing you can do, maybe you just never realized it. mine has jaggies also because its a low res backround.
could always find a better backround, im positive you can find one similar thats much better looking.
my backround is just plain blue, i dont really like fancy desktops.

I've noticed that XP AA's the background picture, but it depends on whether or not you are showing the desktop icons and their text, and whether or not that text is being AA'ed. I know, it sounds strange, but I noticed it quite clearly. I'm using the stock XP "stonehenge" background @ 1024x768, which I think is scaling it up slightly, but if I disable "Show Desktop Icons", I can clearly see the picture change, and the edges of the stone get blocky, but if I re-enable the desktop icons, behind them, I can see the picture is being smoothed-out nicely.

I'm using a R9200 AGP, btw.

I think that must be it, the image is only 800x600 and when you're running it at a res that isn't the native of the picture.

It's rather bizarre, isn't it? I guess it's not just an ATI thing then, if you have an NV card, it must indeed be an XP thing. Kind of a pity, really, you remove the icons so that you can see the pic, and then it all goes blocky. I blame Bill Gates.

Right Click> Active Desktop> Show Desktop Icons.

ah right...mine was under arrange icons, dont have an active desktop......man it sure makes the BMW M5 on my desktop wallpaper go all jaggy, its been resized from 16x12 to 12x10 though
