Hi there,

Not really a problem, more of a speak-about topic ...

Talking about great games ... Jagged Alliance 2 (not counting the first ones in the series, but they also very very good).

This game is from 1999, and I can still see it on my local shop ... and NO ONE PICKS IT!!!!

This is one of the best games of all time (for me) and still, no one gives a cent for it ... and what more, they don't even know what a hell is all about ... !sight!

Man, this game rocks!!!!

Which from you played this game?

I played the two first versions... still haven't had the time to pick up JA2 hope to get to it soon!

I think most people doesn't like the turn based playing! Personnally I really like it, CIV3 is another good
example of a turn based game!

JA2 is the best turn-based squad-level tactical combat game ever made. I loved X-Com for its atmosphere but for actual tactics JA2 has it beat.

Check out www.strategyplanet.com/jaggedalliance for info, patches, and links to the "Bearpit" JA forum which also has some free user mods for JA2 and JA2: Unfinished Business.

I'm afraid you're in the minority, it's been on all kinds of best-of lists, though of course everyone gets to decide for themselves what is fun and what isn't. I'm not at all fond of RTS games myself.

Out of curiousity, what about it seemed stupid to you? The resource management as you took over mines and trained rebels to hold sectors? The inventory management? The sci-fi elements (which can be turned off)?

Look at what you've done!!!! Now I'll have to re-install it on my system ... and I thought I wasn't addicted no more :D:D:D

This is an excellent game! I really started to play these kind of games with the UFO series, although Laser Squad could be the first one of the genre, am I right in this statement?

It's really sad seeing a company like Sir-Tech, with such a wonderfull formula in their hands, having trouble to pass the idea to the public ... boy if only they could develom Jagged Alliance 3 ... now THAT would be a real blast (me thinking - slap-in-the-face - STOP THINKING!)

Well, time for JA2 ... again ... and after almost 4 years of it's realease ... still ROCKS!!!

first off i didn't do the sci-fi...so maybe thats one reason i didn't get blown away.

I couldn't narrow it down to one thing... I think it was because it was so non-linear and vast that i really just didn't enjoy it. I didn't find out about some of the areas like SAM sites til i read a FAQ about it. Alot of my favorites from JA: DG weren't in it and they made it really difficult after a certain point. I would spend so much time training and healing that it wasn't worth the little bit of time where i would fight the enemy. I was doing really good and then i just was like ehhh nah i don't feel like finishing it. Grew old on me. sorry just my opinion.

Of course everyone has his own opinion, and for what you told, even I would get a little frustrated ... :) ... well, no I wouldn't, 'cause I really love this game ...

But hey, why don't you re-install it and give it a shot ... :) maybe you'll finally join us, the addicted ones :D ... come on ...

You will never be the same again! MUAH! AH! AH! (bass voice, drummers in background) :)
