Wasn't the last building collapse also in FL?
The big condo collapse was a couple years back (2021), but in general building on a swamp that is roughly at sea level and regularly visited by hurricanes ~ tends to cause difficulties with long term building stability.

(Hi Florida! Where "only" 1 in 3 properties across the entire state are at a high risk of flooding, while 1 in 8 are insured against such...!)

There have been a couple of other bigger ones I can't find right now and a bunch of smaller ones.

One in PA recently, but that was during demolition and a couple during or after large fires, so they don't really count as much.

It's a "normal" for Florida going back years.
