It's a new store that opened around Nov-Dec 2000 and they are giving free 1 year membership. Just bring your I.D. Look at their web site for a map and phone numbers.

during January. When a member makes a purchase in January, they are allowed to
add free, 1 new associate member to their plan, at no charge.

Yes, the free associates membership at Sam's is in addition to what you already get. It can by given to anyone you chose, but you have to go with them, with a receipt that says you made a purchase during January. Their membership expires at the same time your master membership expires. Limit 1 free January special per account. Details were included in the monthly Sam's club mailer. Not as good as the free 1 year Costco deal, unless membership expiration is January or December, but we have no Costco's here in west central FLA.

There is a CostCo about 15 minutes away from my house and I hear they are giving away free memberships as well, in case anyone wants to know, the store is on the way to Plano no 75 North (Central Expressway) in Dallas.

Also, what sort of deals does CostCo have? Anything worth my time going up there for? Just curious, thanks!

Costco has good deals on food though they are all in huge package.
Plus, there are always some clearance items at the corner of Elctronic part. I got a Panasonic 900MHz wireless phone w/answer machine for 30 bucks while ago.
I like to have a free membership. But I'm not in FL.
