I have to say man..most of JC's newer movies suck. Medallion, tuxedo crapola! Shanghai and Rush series are decent but its more hollywood flair than what JC is really famous for, insane stunts, great fight choreography etc.

Thank God for the NEW POLICE STORY..if ur a JC fan...or even a HK movie/action fan, you have to watch it. I watched it on DVD(2disc) and it was great! Very good story line, great action, very reminiscent of the old JC police story movies.

I was very skeptical when i first got it but man, it ROCKS! Even my gal(non action fan) watched through it and said it was very good.

i dare say his best stuff in 5yrs.

It was good, but I wouldn't say it was at all reminiscent of old Jackie Chan movies. It was a pretty serious toned movie, and not a lot of action or stunts (he's getting old so it's to be expected). Not to say I didn't enjoy it, but I wouldn't compare it.

Now if the story is true that he's making Drunken Master 3 w/ Tony Jaa from Ong-Bak? Oh man that would be good

its alright, the videogame part is so cheesy. Darker and more serious than his usual films.

But jackie cant act, so comdey action is still the best route for him.

i LOVED the original police story (the one from HK, not the american one)... i'll have to look into finding a copy of this one :)

Man, that's 'cause it's a HK movie made by a HK crew. Good movie, very old school Jackie Chan.

Legit DVD copy? SF Chinatown or Oakland Chinatown.

I asked my sister to get me his New Police Story along with his Police Story Trilogy. his previous 3 police stories are much better than the new police story. not only the actions were great, the humor too. it is the part that I love.

they are all legit and total for me is about $20 because my sis got them for me from Hong Kong.

I agree, this is one of the better movies JC has made in a long while. The Medallion and Around the World in 80 days weren't movies that I expected from him. Around the World was so bad I didn't even bother to finish it.

i laughed so hard at the part in rumble in the bronx when that kid in the wheel chair was given a game gear by jackie and then later when you saw him playing it in the movie you cold tell it didn't even have a game in it from the back of it and it was making noises and stuff LOL

the only good movies jackie makes are hongkong ones :D

the new police story is a bit...-too- melodramatic though, not enough humour like the previous ones.

yes, Jackie Chan movies are worth watching, he is an international super star
Actually, many of the hong kong movies are excellent
I have a buddy who live in malaysia , she likes hongkong movies, and ask me to ship her the VCDs that she couldn't find in malaysia

i thought this movie was brilliant in showing that he is old and shows that he can do some drama acting. he cries for like the first half of the movie anyways lol

I thought it was pretty good. It was a typical JC movie from HK, except this time, the special effects were on par with Hollywood standards, IMO. Great representation of the HK movie industry and how far they've come.
