I hate this trend. Nothing screams idiot redneck like flying a 4' flag from the bed of your pickup truck flogging itself to death in the wind.

One of these idiots passed me the other day on my way home on the freeway. He had two of them on his truck and the noise from them flapping away was so loud I could hear it in my car over the radio with the windows rolled up. At first I was like WTF is that noise. Then I saw the jerkoff as he passed me and then illegally cut into the carpool lanes.

Incidentally, I love this commercial. I makes me LOL everytime I see it.

So at what point is acceptable to proudly fly a flag?

And what size?

Damn dude, you really need to relax a bit and quit letting things you have NO CONTROL over bother you....or letting things irritate you that are so inconsequential that they're totally unimportant to anyone else.

Heh, so 2001.

I'm not normally given towards outward displays of... well... anything, really. But it made me a little sad to see the flags people mounted in the beds of their pickup trucks go from zero to tattered before September was over.

Do they make a flag out of a material that doesn't disintegrate at sustained highway speeds?

But, but, but the flapping, it was so loud. the horrors of the flapping.

It drowned out the Oprah channel on the radio.

I agree. As much as I dislike seeing some asshole burning a US flag in protest, it's their right to do so...and is constitutionally protected as part of free speech.
These morons who fly a flag in the back of their trucks...and beat it to rags...well, IMO, that's not protest, that's really not free speech, that's ignorance...and IMO, is more disrespectful of the flag than burning it.

BUT, as much as I hate it...it still comes under the "free speech" protections of the US Constitution.

I am relaxed brah.

Oh, and I saw the same jerkoff this morning on my ride in to work. Blue chevy truck with a big American flag in tatters hanging from a pole mounted to the bed of his pickup truck. I gave him a wave as I passed him on my Italian motorcycle. :p

Troll, troll, troll your boat gently down the ayteeohtee.

This x1000.

To the OP:
As if you have a problem with "flags" in general. You have an issue with confederate flags because of your prejudicial bigotry towards southerners. Quit trying to hide it. Thread title fail.

I've never seen a conferate flag on a truck in SoCal thankfully. I guess there isn't anyone dumb enough to try that here. :p

No, typically it is a Raiders or Chargers flag or the American flag.

"1st world problems"

Honestly there are a shit-ton of other things on the road that bother me more than once-in-a-blue-moon truck with flags on it.
