Well from as crazy as he sounds, I don't think I'd go sneaking over to his property at night, he'd probably shoot your ass.

I'd just keep calling the cops, maybe you can come up with something that will annoy him just as much?

Doesn't work because the sound waves are traveling in an open space. There will be some places where it'll be louder, and others quieter. Plus, you have to match the frequency and phase exactly.

depends on how often he is useing that device. if he is useing it when kids are on public area that can be harrasement.


im sure you can get a device that lets you know when it is on. oh and i thank god he lives next to you and not me 😛

It's mounted on the front of house. It is motion activated, or if nothing sets it off within a specific time frame it runs on intervals.
 
As somone pointed out he probably can't hear the device. Simply find a way to cut it's power so that it no longer works, but looks just fine.

A 2x4 or 2x6 is handy for extending your reach to swat annoying objects. Many years ago an auto parts store was built in our neighborhood. They installed an alarm with a loud klaxon high up on the side of the building.

The system would false alarm around midnight many nights. There was absolutely nobody there, I could get over and look almost instantly. It would go on and on, and calls to the police did nothing. I talked to the business owners also.
One night it was too much, and I grabbed a 16' 2x6 and swatted that thing off the side of the building. They never replaced it🙂

damn. i don't see how something like this can be legal. trouble is proving it would be a pain. since the cops can't hear it they don't care.

I would be pissed off if i lived near himw ith that. i have kids and they have friends over all the time. if something was harming them i would be upset.


hmm print out the studies that show why this causes harm to kids but not adults. maybe you will get lucky and a cop will be on training and be young enough to hear it.

If it's only audible on his property, I would agree with you. But it's obviously bothering others, and high frequency sounds could certainly induce headaches, etc. thus it's a public health hazard. At least that's the angle I'd use in court.
 
Build a makeshift army by recruiting the local teenagers, issuing them BB guns, and building A-team style siege artillery potato cannons mounted on wheelbarrow wheels. Cut his telephone and power lines and surround his residence. Be sure to dress up like a medieval warlord and fart in his general direction.

I'd say this old guy's a prime candidate for the ol' "flaming bag of dog poo" on his front porch!! :laugh:

Another good one would be to wait until a night you know is going to have a heavy dew, get some granulated chlorine (for swimming pools....available at WallyWorld), and go out in the middle of the night and write something really nasty on his front lawn with the chlorine. As the dew settles in on the grass, it will bleach the you-know-what out of wherever you laid the chlorine (pretty much bleaches the grass to death, so it lasts a while), and will keep whatever's written there for a while.

Maybe you could find something interesting to do with realtor signs.......or road kill!! :shocked:
 
He calls 911 if you park in front of his house? Is it a public street? If so I would be sure to park there daily and let him get arrested for misuse of the 911 service.
