Of course the parents aren't responsible. They don't have near the money that Thompson could extract from the game publishers and developers.

The sad thing is, there are people that believe what he says and support him.

On a side note, that was the first watchable thing I've seen from AOTS, well ever actually.

he's right in the aspect that most parents are not responsible. they sit their kids down in front of the tv, or video game and off they go.

then when there kid does something stupid they go and blame the tv, video games, movies, whatever they can except themselves.

GTA3 made me shoot those people, I was a model parent. blah blah blah.

But it isn't just limited in parents its everybody. Blame the next guy, mcdonalds made me fat, the teacher doesn't like, etc.

Everything else he spews out is just garbage

parents are responsible for what their kids do. don't want them to play GTA3? don't buy it for them, and if they do have it, take it away from them. simple as that. the guy from crossplay also had a point: video games aren't the only factor in violence, since kids kicked the crap out of each other before the advent of video games.

and IIRC, we have laws that make it illegal to sell M games to minors (or at least most places enforce such a rule)

Agreed. I wonder if that guy has his kids in public school. Or if he allows them to drive. Hell, I'd be surprised if he even lets them out of the house.
