I re-watched Titanic recently due to the buzz of the anniversary of the Titanic and etc.
Now the thing bothers me and obviously some others as evidenced here

Both of them could fit on that plank!. Jack's and Rose's combined body heat would increase their odds of survival in the arctic waters.
So Jack did a disservice to Rose by staying in the water and lowering her survival chances. On top of that, he died. He is an unromantic, survival chance reducing , dead idiot!!!
Any water physics experts care to weigh in on the possibility that the added weight might have sunk the plank?
