Watched this earlier and was surprised. I just wished that they got this voice right. Didn't sound like him at all.

did the impossible in its seventh season premiere by uniting the old Steve McGarrett with the new. The CBS drama brought original McGarrett actor Jack Lord to life through the magic of CGI. Lord, who died in 1998, portrayed the Five-O hero for 12 seasons on the namesake series, which ran from 1968-1980 on CBS. In the season 7 premiere, Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) gets trusted advice from Lord — the character was called Jack Lord in the script — a retired cop who offers words of wisdom about what it means to wear the badge. It’s a scene that’s been years in the making.

Interesting... The guy had a look to him and he was obviously supposed to be special but I didn't know what.

I saw it...thought it was a terrible job...the facial features barely resembled Jack Lord...and the voice wasn't even close. PLUS, it was just a terrible piece of CGI work.

My TV was dark enough that I couldn't see his face clearly, didn't know it was CGI. Not knowing who it was also helped.

Looked pretty bad, a bit better than what they did in that Warcraft movie but still pretty bad.

/I had to double check to make sure this wasn't a necro from from like 10 years ago....

Agreed, it was not the orginal actor. I think Jack Lord passed away a few years ago. (1998)

i thought it was some guy from a video game too. product placement, from microsoft or something like they do all the time with Bing or Skype or whatever
