Just heard on NBC. :(

Jack, we will miss you, thanks for all the laughs, you we're one of a kind.

edit[/b]: From the AP
"Lemmon died Wednesday night from complications related to cancer, said longtime spokesman Warren Cowan. His wife Felicia, his two children and a stepdaughter were at his bedside at USC/Norris Cancer Center..."

Sad to hear it. Sadly, I didn't think that he would go on much longer without his old pal Walter :(

I thought him and Walter were pretty funny playing crabby old men in Grumpy Old Men...

Definitely a comedic legend. It's been a sad month for comedy.

And what's this bizarre news story of Paula Poundstone being arrested for sexually abusing a bunch of kids? Geez!

Damn.

He was one of my favorites.
As a golfer I always tuned in to the Pebble Beach Pro/Am to see if Jack would finally make the cut. He never did. He represented evrything that was good and decent about the game.

Jack Lemmon was in so many movies that I enjoyed watching as a kid. He was a legend and will be missed but leaves a vast library of his work for people to enjoy. Some of my favorite movies with Jack Lemmon in no particular order:
Bell, Book, and Candle
The War Between Men and Women
How To Murder Your Wife
The Great Race
The Odd Couple
The Out-of-Towners
Days of Wine and Roses
Mr Roberts (a personal favorite)

Usually when Iread about an Actor passing I don't feel to much emotion. Jack Lemmons passing is different. He was the all around good guy, someone you always rooted for at the Crosby Clambake. Rest in peace Jack, you will be missed.

He was a class act start to finish. And he had talent and skill. His work will be remembered.

Same here. Mathau's death had the same effect on me as Lemmon's does.

Rest in peace, Mr. Lemmon.
