Jack Daniels or Ballantines?

I don't really like either one, but I will take bourbon over cheap blended scotch any day of the week. I would take Old Grand Dad's or Wild Turkey over Jack Daniels, though.

Cheap?

George Dickel and coke.

Not as cheap, but 1000x better-tasting?

Maker's Mark on the rocks.

Because that crap will give you the worst hangover you've EVER had if you actually get drunk on it. Stay far, far away.

Jack Daniels (I'm from TN :D) or Maker's Mark (I'm a Maker's Mark Ambassador). Those are pretty good. If you're looking for a real smooth Whiskey, you should try Gentlemen's Jack. It's a little expesive, but real smooth. Grab a cigar and enjoy! ;)

Ever had one of the Maker's Mark cigars? They're pretty smoky, but actually pretty good.

I didn't say there weren't going to be some negative points to it :D

note: I do not drink that stuff myself

I had a few run-ins with that crap back in my college days. I am now older and wiser. Or at least older.

How can you compare a Scotch to a Bourbon?
Answer: You Cant!

Ballantines is quite a respectable name as is JD so just take your pick. I drink both but not my favorites of course.
