He doesn't try to sound like DMX, that's just how his voice is. If you hear him talk in interviews and the movies he's in, you can tell that he has a really hoarse voice.

As for why 50 doesn't like Ja. There was an incident in a night club between the 2 before 50 made it big. Ja was clowning on his performance in the parking lot after 50's performance, or something like that.
 
I heard 50 doesn't like Ja because he fakes being from the hood and stufff. Since 50 was raised in the ghetto and says its an awful place to be, he hates people like Ja who make it sound glamorous and make the violence seem okay. Especially since he named his recording company Murder Inc. And 50 was shot somthing like 9 times and was almost murdered.

Murder Inc. isn't Ja's recording company. It's Irv Gotti's, and Irv is from the ghetto.

ja rule tries to be thuggish but all he keeps doing it duets. hes fake and a huge sell out.
 
Ja Rule sucks. I don't really care who hates him. I can see no talent in Ja Rule's stuff. Every time I hear one of his songs I just cringe. His voice is aweful.

Ja Rule's songs define crap, not to mention I don't remember the last hit he had that was a true rap song as opposed to all this duet BS he keeps pumping out. All those horrible songs sound the same, its pathetic.
