J# is not another language it's a MS IDE which supports Java 1.1.4 but it produces .Net-code (MSIL) or something like that. That means you write Java 1.1.4 code in J# and this code is "compatible" with all the other .NET members... MS did that so that Java-programmers don't have to learn C# to use .NET and/or to make the transition easier. well, that's what they think... JDK1.1.4 is totally outdated and partially useful for applets that's it.
