Ummm.... You realize Rodgers gets talked about EVERY year right? He's Top 5 QB in the league since he's been starting. Kaepernick was the hot topic because he was late season starter and propelled his team to the Super Bowl ®.

If their sole concern is money, then yeah. But these guys do what they're doing because they obviously enjoy playing (and winning, presumably).

You think the other A-Rod was thrilled getting stomped every day playing for the basement-dwelling Rangers way back when? He could have been making a not quite as obscene amount of money for the Mariners who were successful at the time.

Also, Foster had 16, 10, and 15 TDs - and Forsett has 8 this season. Those are just rushing TDs.

Give Kubiak an o-line like the Cowboys have and he'd probably get Chris Johnson another 2k season.

baltimore was 8th in points per possession this year. i'd like to see that as an adjusted stat rather than raw, but that position isn't likely to change much.

as a raw stat, the best the texans were in points per possession over the 2009-12 seasons was 4th. and that year they were 2/3 of a point per possession behind the pats. that's a ton. but they were first in yards per possession so hey, that means they're great, right?

Yet when you look, Baltimore was ranked 32 last year - DEAD LAST. The only changes were a new center and RT - but their RT played at TE last year. Their improvement, as well as Forsett's - all should be attributed to Kubiak and his schemes. I've sat here in Houston since he started coaching here and watched it.

The main change is Marshal Yanda going from +12 to +45 in one year (Run blocking from +9.5 to +35.1, Pass blocking +4.8 to +10.1). Is that because of Kubiak? Probably, but it's also possible that Yanda is hitting his prime as well. Also, dumping -17 Micheal Oher helped a ton, as well as promoting Osemele to full time status going from -4.2 to +21.7 and Wagner going from +0.9 to +12.5. Oh, and demoting Gradkowski with Zuttah at center where Zuttah performed replacement level (+1.5).

Then again, how did Eugene Monroe regress from +20.5 to -12.9? Or why is newcomer James Hurst -24.5 under Kubiak?

Not everyone improved under Kubiak, but it seems a combination of blossoming talent and a new coach helped turn that offensive line around. So big picture I think Kubiak does deserve credit for that OLine's success after such a dismal previous year.

Hurst is a TE and should not be playing on an o-line - he's been performing pretty well, given the circumstances.
