J.J. Jackson, One Of MTV's First VJs, Dies At Age 62

J.J. Jackson, remembered as one of the first faces of MTV, died Wednesday night in Los Angeles of an apparent heart attack, according to friends and former business associates. He was 62.

Wow. I remember watching him back in the early 80's when MTV was new.
Sad news.

A good part of my adolescence was spent watching music videos (yes the REALLY DID play them back then) with J.J. and
Martha Quinn, Alan Hunter, Mark Goodman, and Nina Blackwood.

MTV's been on the air over 20 years now.. that would make him 40 when he started. I could definitely believe that.
