I wonder what's the ratio of iphone users to bb users in their surveys. I wonder what companies give out iphones for their employees (for business use).

Not mine, nor any other company that I know of. Everything is Blackberry (for business email/calendar/contacts) or something iDEN (for push-to-talk).

wow...people must not use their iPhones for business purposes much. I never thought I'd say that I miss my Mogul but oftentimes I do....

/has an iPhone - provided by the company - hates it for everything except a media player.

this survey fails to account for phones out there that are NOT offered in the US but are kickass. this seems to fail to account for non carrier subsidized phones too. so while HTC phones are great they're also loaded with Verizon, AT&T bloatware...

Which phones are those? The US carriers have been pretty good about bringing new phones in lately. 2 years ago, not so much...

That's what I was thinking. The old whine of "awesome phones never come to the US" seems to be pretty much false at this point. At worst, they come a few months later than they do to Europe.

Often they come here, but without a carrier subsidy - such as the top HTC Phones (Touch HD, HD2), and Nokia phones (N97, etc)

pointless. apple makes one phone, which btw is a cult/fad item to many owners; compared to a range of phones from other makes. some of the phones in those ranges are good, some arent, so this study compares an average rather than individual phones, from everyone but apple.

From the end user's POV, yes, but f you're a manufacturer, it's a big deal...

The bolded is very important in a study like this - a lot of iPhone users would swear by it as the greatest product ever made, no matter what the truth was.

Agreed, but once again, that's pretty vital shit for manufacturers...

True. If consumers are going to love it no matter what, well, that's a good thing for the manufacturer. I was more just commenting on the study ranking it the best out there...I can see it winning that for consumers, but for business? If you're a business owner trying to find the most productive device for your employees to use, I would be hesitant to go by this study, know what I mean?
