I assume some of you have seen the iWon's new Prize Machine. It's sort of a slot machine and you get free spins by clicking on ads. To make a long story short I was looking at their rules to figure out what the odds were and came across this statement. I'm not from Canada but does anyone know why they would put this in the rules?

'To be declared a Winner, a potential winner from Canada will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a 4-function mathematical skill-testing question in no more than 5 minutes, the test to be administered by telephone. If a potential winner from Canada cannot be contacted and the skill test administered within seven (7) days of notification, or the question is not correctly answered, the prize will be forfeited. '

When I was a kid in Quebec, I remember that the free-prizes on candy bar wrappers had some sort of skill testing question as well. The math was pretty stupid (4 x 9 + 10 - 7 type of stuff).

No idea why its required though.

Wow. I live in Florida, maybe they should do that to us before we vote. Nah, idiots need presidents too.
