Are there any users out there that can help me on this?

Here's what I've noticed...

1. When I turn the computer on, there is a 10 second pause before the computer actually boots up and beeps and my monitor recieves a signal... is this typical of the board?

2. The board occasionally identifies my Athlon 1800+ as 1150mhz, and I would have to go into bios to rechange the settings.

3. My Athlon 1800+ chip and heatsink gets really hot, and i'm using a coolermaster heatsink that's supposed to be for up to 2100+ chips.

But when I get the thing running into windows XP, everything is fine.

WHAT SHOULD I DO? AND ARE THESE NORMAL SYMPTOMS?? HELP!

I've had the board only for 8 days... so I could still return it to my local Fry's (30 day return).

Yes

The XP333 that I used before would randomly lose BIOS settings if the RAM was pushed, or sometimes when the board was powered off/turned back on

I suggest a better HSF ;)

Yes, if I were you, I would return the board and look into exchanging it for a KT333 mobo.

Thanks Technonut!

Would flashing bios do anything? Has anyone ever tried it?
Anyone else with the same problems but found a solution?

I'd grab a KT333 board as well.. such as the MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU... great board.. great price.. works like a charm ;)
