I dont know if anyone else has had this problem, but I have two 256 meg stricks of Crucial ram, the same stuff, and for some reason or another (i've posted previously about this), I cannot use the second or the 3rd slot.
Having just one stick in the first slot works perfect, but have 2, one in the second, it works flaky, freezes in 3dmark and games, and doesn't even boot windows right when the 1st and 3rd slots are used.
I tried the memory in a friends system and it seemed to work just fine in his slot with his memory(same mobo and bios), so I dont know if I have a bad slot or what (he did say it was still sorta flaky which would leave me to believe it to be the slot)
If it's the slot... can this thing be fixed with a bios upgrade? Otherwise I'll just have to use the first slot... maybe I can get a refund for that 2nd stick?
