I have an Iwill XP333 Athlon motherboard, AMD 1600+, and currently trying to use a Matrox G200 MMS PCI video card with it. With an ATI Radeon AGP card in it, or with a Matrox G400 AGP, everything seems to be fine, I can boot from CD / HD-0 and install Windows and all that.

BUT, as soon as I swap the AGP card for a PCI Matrox video card... it POSTs and does all its stuff, then when it should proceed and either boot from CD / HD-0, it justs shows a blank screen with a flashing cursor... nothign else...

And only with the PCI video card... is this a known issue? How can I fix it? Any ideas?

Did you switch to PCI as primary video in your bios? I've used a V3 PCI as the secondary card in my system. Does the Matrox PCI work as a secondary card? You can leave them both in and swap the cable after you install the drivers maybe.

I set it the Init Display to PCI instead of AGP, no difference.

It won't even boot from Floppy or CD-ROM if I have a PCI video card in...

Have you tried different slots? Maybe its shorting, try not as deep in the socket.

Thats odd, I'm certain I did not use slot #1, its never populated on my rig. Which bios are you using?
