Anything anyone can think of will help. This is the rig: ECS K7S5A motherboard with (1) 512 pc2100 crucial and (1) 256 pc2100 crucial, not overclocked, Thunderbird 1.4, two Maxtor d740x 80gb (6L080J4), toshiba 16x dvd rom drive, lite on 16/10/40 cdrw, all in an antec sx830 case with the pp303x power supply and four case fans. The problem I'm running into is I originally set up one hard drive with windows 2000 sp2 on the primary ide, then loaded the drivers for the raid card, switched it over to the raid card and it's fine. The issue comes when I put in the other hard drive, I go to create an array and normally it starts up and gives me a status of the percentage done, but on this pc at this point it locks up every time. I've tried the card with the hard drives in another machine and everything works fine there, just won't work here. Was wondering if I'm just overlooking something or if anyone knows about an incompatibility between these two. I am using the latest ecs bios from their website but haven't flashed the card with the latest bios as of yet since it works in other systems. Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.
