Iwill plans 6 DDR motherboards by 1Q01

Does anyone have any idea how much these new DDR boards will cost??? Iwill or any other boards??? Seems like they have been getting more expensive since the BX board shortage last year... when are we going to see $100-120 boards again???

what wrong with 100-120 boards? has long has they are good quality I dont mind paying that price. 200 is steep though

i think this guys brother on electic's board works for Iwill...he said 200 bucks but probably lower....not sure though...just a guess. pointless talking about it here though gonna head on over there to ask mo questions...i need ddr bad for my rendering of motion picture projects.

At first, they'll be "performance" boards and will cost, I'd bet, about $170.

But they are not significantly (hardly at all) more expensive to make than regular SDRAM boards, so it shouldn't be too much!!

Eventually, I would expect baords to be under $100 (like the VIA Apollo boards are now).

The reason boards are so pricey now is because the i815 is so damned big. It has all the graphics and crap in it. Besides, Intel overcharges for their chipsets anyway. =-)

I think ALi and VIA will have cheaper solutions much quicker (because they have the motivation)
