i think i've heard of something like this before, but if i do a shutdown from windows, i cannot restart the computer for awhile... it really pisses me off! The fans go on, but it doesn't post unless i try for awhile
do i just need a bios update? if so, which one should i get?
 
POSTING should not have anything to do with you OS... POST is checking hardware... Pull everything from you MOBO except your ram and processor and add the items on at a time to find the problem.. Use a win9x boot disk so as not to hose your os... Reset your computer several time to make sure it post every time.....

Check your raid drives - they have know to cause problems posting.... May 15th BIOS upgrade worked fine on my buddys pc.....

It's because of the mobo, i know that because it boots up fine, just takes a couple tries... shouldn't be like this tho.
