Iwill kk266plus USB Problem

I am trying to install a Scan disk image mate for smart media digital camra picture downloads on my new Iwill KK266plus mobo,off the bat i needed to download drivers from their website for win 2000 pro as the system i used to have it on was win 98,anyway thats been done image mate plugged into USB port and no active green light on image mate that actively tells me that USB port is working.
So now i go into Bios to make sure USB is Active and i cant locate USB listing in any of the Bios Pages!
It has to be there somewhere,could somebody point me to where it is.

First, the USB ports are enabled at the bottom of the Advanced Chipset Features
page in the BIOS.
Second, there is a BIOS update for that board which addresses a USB problem.

Checked out Iwills website but still not clear on flashing replacement bios any tips would be greatly appreciated.

flashing BIOS is easy, and yes there are instructions on Iwill's site on exactly how to do it. Basically you will need to download the file they specify, stick it on disk and then run some long complicated command which should make it work.

Good Luck! PS - Iwill makes POS motherboards, don't expect flashing the BIOS to make things better. For me it just made it completely fail instead of 1/2 working.

I had the usb problem as well

I flashed the bios, and cold booted -- after that my intellimouse optical worked just fine!

Personally, i rather like the IWill board. I have a KK266+, a good friend has a KK266, and my girlfriend has a KK266-R, none of us have problems. Both my friend and I are running them at 150mhz FSB.

The board worked fine out of the box, and I only encountered the USB problem when I overclocked the FSB, but the BIOS flash took care of it. The instructions are on the IWill website (www.iwillusa.com)

Ok! Q.when flashing your bios do you use the most up to date Bios revision available at the website or do you have to install all the updates inbetween.
