I just got my new KK266-R board and am very happy with it. I bought the raid board specifically because i wanted to use the extra ide-100 ports provided by the raid controller. The way I wanted my computer set up is to have both cd-rom's on their own channel, and have the HD on its own channel. But when the jumper is in ata-100 mode, i dont't know how to enable the drive, or get it to be seen.
So i enabled raid mode, set up my one drive as an array (Raid-0 with 32k stripe) and am running the cd-rom's from the 686b ide ports. I know it would be easier to have the cd-roms on the same channel but my burner is pio-4 mode only, my dvd rom drive goes up to udma-33. I want to know if this is a proper way to set up my system, or is there another way to do it without configuring my drive as an array. One more question, my drive is an IBM 60gxp, in this raid configuration, is it acting in ata-100 mode?
