Did you switch the jumper to activate the onboard audio? Did you install the drivers/software? That's all I can think of right now. I got it to work on the first try, and I usually break my computer when tinkering with it.

In my opinion, the sound was a bit tinny.

There's a jumper to enable/disable onboard sound on the KK266 (and -R) boards. In between the 2nd and 3rd PCI slots I think, towards the back. Once you enable it there then it should be detected and work.

If you've done that and are getting this error that's a different matter, I dunno about it.
