I'm running all of the latest drivers and all onboard devices (usb, serial ports, sound, raid) are disabled. The problem seems to occur when the NIC is heavily saturated with data, the CPUs go to 100% momentarily and any program such as IE5.5 SP1 slows down to a halt. During that slow down, you are required to wait for about 15-45 seconds for the CPUs to come back down to 0-3% usage. before IE or any program(s) running will respond to a click. The keyboard usually works during that time (i.e. CTRL-ESC brings up the start menu).
Anyone else experiencing this? I am thinking of getting a new NIC. I've tried USB mice and PS/2 mice and the problem persists.
