when u use an i7 cpu ivy bridge right it has hd4000 and u add an gpu to pc exammple dies the hd4000 from cpu support the added gpu?

No, the hd4000 will be disabled when you add a graphics card.

No, you can run both the IGP and a discrete GPU. I am using an HD3000 and 7950 as I write this. Saves me about 30w over running both monitors on the 7950.

right i have language prob sorry for my bad english but example i have an ivy bridge hd4000 and an hd7970 and i run battlefield3 my monitor is conected on my hd7970 you mean that the cpus hd4000 will be totaly disabled?

Check the BIOS. There are probably three settings for the Integrated Graphics: Auto, Always off, and Always On (The actual language will vary). You want the "Always On" setting.

Don't expect to use the IGP in some sort of SLI/CF setup. This is just for desktop usage. You also need the right OS. Win7 does this (and I assume Win8), but not Vista.
