No load on the CPU thats why. He was sitting at the desktop with realtemp on for 59 seconds.
 
Yeah, pretty pointless temp reading. 44C idle is what I hit with my SB on full load with my WC set up. 1.5V+ on Ivy is asking to kill it.

Ivy has already taken 1.7-1.9v without issue. Sin over at OCN has reported that Ivy seems to be better then Sandy with higher volts as he hasn't had any processor degradation like he did with sandy
 
OC3D has an ES Sample 3770k that does 4.8ghz OCCT stable 84c max core temp after five minutes but no mention of what temps look like after thirty minutes. Hot but pretty damn good for an Ivy.

They did state intel burn test would fail the chip at 4.8ghz, seeing temps well into the 90s.
 
That screenshot of the voltages is stolen from xtreme systems, and that overclock is not stable in anything but idle.
