Ivy Bridge E locked cores ?

Q3 2013 6 core Ivy Bridge that is really 10 core but 4 of them are locked, has 20mb cache. Their coming out with 4 or 5 models.

The 1k chip will probably be 12 core...

The CPU will fit 2011 socket. Might need a bios upgrade.
