half expected MC to at least sell out the 3570Ks @ $190 (only $10 more than what they've been selling the 2500K at since forever) but alas they still list as having 10+ in stock

whered u get that from? Is it really worth it if your not going for extreme OC's? And how long is the protection for? If i run my chip super hot for 3 years, will they replace after that?
 
Was going to bight the bullet and get it from NE, but they sold out. So i had to to order from TD (Ugh lol). Well at least its $40 cheaper. I hope they can ship it out in a timely fashion. Maybe NE/Amazon will lower the price before TD gets it out hehehe.

No, I never paid $500 for a GPU. 🙄
$400 is ridiculous, because the 3770k brings little improvement over the 2700k, and is probably far cheaper to manufacture.

it not? as far as I understand see very little difference with HT for majority of games. I hope I did not make a mistake getting i5 3570, then again i am coming from an e8400 that alone will be huge upgrade for me and I can play BF3 now, can't imagine what it be like with newer cpu and gtx 680



On another note I just got my i5 3570k delivered from newegg..should build it tonight

it not indeed. You made no mistake. The 3570k is the succesor to the 2500k, which was the previous "best" gaming cpu. Anything above this and you really arent getting that much more performance, and your paying a ton extra.

Don't get me wrong, its a great gaming processor now but if more games are going to adopt multiple threads like BF3, the 2500k/3570k will start to stumble a little bit.

From benchmarks I saw very little difference with i7 vs i5 in bf3 so just curious how much difference are we talking?
