Actually super surprised the 3770K sold out at Newegg
Ordered mine. Also bought that performance tuning protection deal for $25.

whered u get that from? Is it really worth it if your not going for extreme OC's? And how long is the protection for? If i run my chip super hot for 3 years, will they replace after that?
thanks, just picked one up for 20.
you pay 500 for a video card, yet 400 dollars is too much for a CPU ????
A cpu that is the fastest latest greatest...! Hey btw is that 3770k the 6 core 12 thread ? or is there a 3970k with 8 cores and 16 threads ?
😱
need to get my moneys worth right? No over clock your chip till it explodes
Yeah I figured the 3570k would sell out first.
Not anymore since other figured out that its not the best gaming CPU anymore. At least not for Bf3.
it not? as far as I understand see very little difference with HT for majority of games. I hope I did not make a mistake getting i5 3570, then again i am coming from an e8400 that alone will be huge upgrade for me and I can play BF3 now, can't imagine what it be like with newer cpu and gtx 680
On another note I just got my i5 3570k delivered from newegg..should build it tonight
it not indeed. You made no mistake. The 3570k is the succesor to the 2500k, which was the previous "best" gaming cpu. Anything above this and you really arent getting that much more performance, and your paying a ton extra.
Thanks I feel better now!
I cannot wait to get home and build, it has been 4 years + since I did my last build.
Don't get me wrong, its a great gaming processor now but if more games are going to adopt multiple threads like BF3, the 2500k/3570k will start to stumble a little bit.
