I just put together a system using the AN35 board and am unable to get the sound working . I am using W/98SE with a drive with was on the box using another motherboard . I have installed everything from the CD that came with the motherboard and also tried the newest drivers from Realtek . I am stumped .

Edit - I just formatted the hard drive and made a clean install of windows 98se . The PNP didn't ask me for anything . Anyway I then tried to install the drivers from the CD that came with the motherboard and had no luck ( the install wizard ran but then I got some strange message window telling me to place my windows98 cd in the drive and shows a directory tree. I am very confused as to what is happening and I don't know what I'm missing of if here is a problem with the w/98se installaion , the motherboard, or the driver cd . Could someone please give me a run through of the driver installation ? thanks

Edit - 8-27 - I tried everything with w2k and it works fine . I don't know if the problem was with w/98se v 5-99 or my pyhsically with th OS CD but the drivers loaded and the motherboard is OK .

onboard sound enabled in BIOS? Only thing I could think of, since my AN35N onboard sound is working great in Win2K. Also have no issues with the onboard LAN. Really like the board and seems faster than my overclocked KT3 Ultra 2's.
