Enjoy the 8-12MPG.
But yeah, it's a bad ass car.
I'm sure someone driving a Viper cares how much gas mileage they get.
Prius owners these days.

What happened to the Z06?

Every Viper looks timeless. Even the early 90's. I am jealous.
anyone else like the OEM 3 spoke Viper wheels?
I think they look fantastic.
Forgive me but why is buying a car that is similar but different from the car you really want considered a stepping stone?
Either way, congrats!
2. stepping stone - any means of advancement; "the job was just a stepping stone on his way to fame and riches"
Yes but... it's not like this car is going to magically turn into a GTS...

No but he can enjoy driving A Viper while saving up the difference.
It's alot easier to move up to the next car when you already have one of value that's completely paid for to sell/trade and haven't had a car payment in years.
Sounds like he may even want to collect multiple Vipers : (OP "hopefully first of many"). In which case having a Viper, any Viper, will keep you content and buy you more time that you're willing to wait to save up for the next one without that money burning a hole in your pocket. You're also less likely to jump the gun and have the luxury of waiting for the perfect deal and less likely to impulse buy the wrong car when you already have a car that is 90% of what you want.
