Spend it, saving it makes the stock market go down. Spending money drives it up and my stocks suck right now.

Presumably money is meant for potential use. It's time to cash in on this potential.
Well sure, but cash in a little later and it could be worth more! :Q

I'm sure you understand what I'm getting at, your call, but I'd look for a low risk place to put the money like an ING direct account, they start you off with $25 too if you use a referral link :)

On the topic of "save, save, save".............

While that's a great idea............there's eventually a time you need to spend, spend, spend.

It's actually healthy!

If you're undecided about what you *want* to buy, however, I'd not buy anything just yet. You still need to breakdown what you want & why.

I'd save it as default and wait until I know what I want before spending it. That way I get what I really want rather than something I just bought at a whim.

I'm assuming you already have at minimum, enough cash in savings to last for 3 months of expenses, own a home, and already put a fair amount of money into your investment portfolio for this year.......... ipod or the speakers sound cool.

Something that does not become useless in a year or 3.

Good speakers.

Good monitor or television.

Furniture.

I found $7 in the self-checkout line at the supermarket and then a $5 bill flying around in the parking lot. Guess who's buying a CD tomorrow :D
