I've noticed a lot of people shy away from making temporary/one time use accounts...

An ip doesn't tell them where to spam...

And if you really care that much, you could use tor.

Why not just use a Yahoo account for everything you sign up for and only give out your Gmail personally. That's what I do anyway.

If I never want to see any email from said site, why would I want a permanent email? Also easier to set up via guerrillamail.

What Farang is trying to explain to you: why go to the bother of making dozens of one use accounts when you can just make one account for ALL of your spam. i.e. I could have the account:
senddrpizzasspamhere@gmail.com
and use that over and over and over and over without ever needing to visit that site (well, except maybe once in a blue moon to keep it activated.)

Exactly, I have a yahoo account specifically for spam, and gmail for my personal mail. No need to bother setting up temp accounts.

Definitely. Yahoo's spam filter sucks anyway, might as well let it fill up :)
